• Contrast: Colour isn’t just based on what the actual hex code of the colour is. Context can also make us perceive the colour different (such as a dark colour can be the same hex code as a lighter colour in shadow)

• RGB: Amount of Red, Green and Blue
• HSL: Hue (degrees), Saturation (percentage), Lightness (percentage)
• Colour gamut represents the scope of human vision

• CIE: The Internation Commission of Illumination
• CIELAB is a colour scheme that approximates the human perception
• The ideal future of colour is hopefully moving towards CIELAB
